A motorcyclist was critically injured Saturday evening in Battle Ground after colliding with an SUV.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies and personnel with Clark County Fire District 3 responded at 6:55 p.m. to an injury crash in the 27400 block of Northeast 182nd Avenue, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Upon arrival, first responders performed CPR on a motorcyclist who had collided with a Toyota SUV. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries, the sheriff’s office said.

Witnesses and the driver of the SUV said the northbound Toyota turned left into the path of the southbound motorcyclist. The driver and passenger of the SUV suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver of the SUV is cooperating with investigators, and no charges have been filed at this time. The sheriff’s office’s traffic unit is continuing to investigate.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of the motorcyclist or SUV driver.
