Windermere Stellar in Vancouver raised more than $237,000 for victims of child abuse at its sixth annual Children’s Justice Center Gala Auction in October. The company announced the total in a news release issued Monday.

The 2018 auction was Windermere Stellar’s most successful fundraiser to date.

“Every year we end up raising more for the Children’s Justice Center than we did the previous year. I am so proud of my colleagues and grateful to them for this enthusiastic commitment,” said Gerry Dowdy Latshaw, designated broker of Windermere Stellar’s Vancouver Metro office and the event’s spearheading force. “The fundraising goal seems loftier and loftier each year. But, we know that the community will rise to the occasion.”

Since 2013, Windermere Stellar has donated more than $620,000 to the Children’s Justice Center. Dowdy Latshaw and her team recently created a new advisory board tasked with galvanizing community support. Inquiries about in-kind and monetary donations can be sent to gerrydowdy@windermere.com.
