More parties and more impaired driving patrols will take place over the Cinco de Mayo weekend.
The Vancouver and Battle Ground police departments, Clark County Sheriff’s Office and state Liquor and Cannabis Board will participate in increased DUI patrols beginning Friday, according to a Vancouver police press release. The patrols, funded through a grant from the state Traffic Safety Commission, are part of a year-round effort to curb drunken and drugged driving around holidays.
Officers will search for signs of drunken and drugged driving.
Motorists who see a suspected impaired driver are encouraged to call 911.
