The weather system that brought Monday’s rain appeared once again Wednesday afternoon with steady rain. As of 4 p.m., a line of thunderstorms was moving north through the Willamette Valley and may have come as far as the Columbia River.
This low will remain pesky, as they do in the spring, and bring more widely scattered showers today with sun breaks lingering into early Friday. Hopefully, the sun will be shining as school lets out. Saturday will be a warm and dry day and perhaps Sunday, too. We have another low reaching us late Sunday into Monday. Not quite sure of the timing but hopefully daylight hours Sunday remain dry.
Next week for spring break doesn’t look like a washout, but it will be a typical spring regimen with a chance of unsettled weather and showers. However, the vacation goes on and we will work around the showers. Don’t cancel your family plans by any means.
Sunshine, dry or liquid, is always welcome here especially this month as we are running nearly 2 inches below average. With below average rainfall the last six months, we do not want to get further behind or it will be an early start to the wildfire season.
