Fire damaged the detached garage of a house early Thursday morning in the Lincoln neighborhood, according to the Vancouver Fire Department.

A Vancouver fire engine and ladder truck were dispatched at 12:44 a.m. to the 3700 block of Grant Street.

The fire crews arrived and found a garage with “15-foot flames burning through the roof,” the fire department said.

Firefighters doused the garage through its roof before entering the door. The fire was extinguished within five minutes.

No other buildings were threatened by the fire, and no one was hurt, according to the fire department.

Firefighters stayed at the scene for three hours putting out hot spots while the Vancouver Fire Marshal’s Office investigated.

The fire marshal is continuing to investigate the cause.
