Police respond to report of armed robbery in Mountain View

Man reportedly had a silver handgun

Police are responding to a report of an armed robbery at a Mountain View neighborhood convenience store.

The robbery was reported at 8:44 p.m. near the Chevron gas station, 14135 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. A man with a silver handgun left the store with a plastic bag containing cash, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

The white male was described as thin; about 5 feet, 10 inches tall; around 30 years old; and with marks on his face, according to the scanner. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with a red Under Armour emblem and acid wash blue jeans, the scanner said.
