Vancouver teen to represent U.S. in international sword fighting competition

Vancouver Heights — Joseph Boysen is representing the United States at the International European Modern Sword Fighting Championship in Belarus. Boysen currently holds the championship from the first official modern sword and shield competition in the country, and is a member of BladeFit Academy in Vancouver. He started sword fighting less than a year ago, and it has quickly become a passion for him. He will be joined by coach Nate McBride and teammate Spencer Nicholson in Belarus. The competition is this weekend.
