Dozens of travel and lifestyle writers will converge at Vancouver’s Heathman Lodge from March 31 to April 2 for workshops, speakers, panel discussions and networking with other industry professionals for the 2019 Travel & Words Conference.
The conference will kick off with a reception hosted by Explorer Media & Marketing and Heathman Lodge, showcasing Vancouver’s vibrant craft brew scene. Explorer Media & Marketing, the conference producer, is the parent company of Northwest Travel & Life and Meeting News Northwest magazines.
The next two days will focus on tips for marketing and the craft of writing for travel writers. More than 20 destination representatives from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and British Columbia will showcase their destinations and meet with travel writers one-on-one.
Caysey Welton, content director for the publishing industry magazine Folio: will be the keynote speaker, speaking about “Thriving as a Writer and Editor in the Digital Age.” Folio: is a 43-year-old publishing industry authority. To showcase Vancouver’s newest development project, Visit Vancouver USA will host an off-site reception for conference attendees at The Waterfront Vancouver.
