Lecturers Grace Teigen and Gene Wigglesworth are launching a four-part workshop series this month on climate change, the environment and what people can do about it. Their classes are 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 26, April 9, April 23 and May 7 in the Swift Classroom at Columbia Springs, a nonprofit park and education center at 12208 S.E. Evergreen Highway in Vancouver.

“After the four sessions, you’ll feel comfortable with the basics of how our planet works, its normal cycles and the effects humans have had. You will see examples of challenges and solutions and come away feeling empowered with a clear understanding of what you can do to help,” Columbia Springs said in a news release Friday.

There is a suggested $10 donation for the classes, which people can register for online at www.columbiasprings.org/workshops.

The classes include lectures, groups discussions and multimedia. Wigglesworth and his wife Teigen will incorporate their interests in science, business and the arts into their presentations on the changing climate.
