Vancouver is one of five cities selected to participate in a national session on affordable housing and health hosted by the National League of Cities.

The Mayors’ Institute on Affordable Housing and Health: Advancing City-Level Strategies to Generate Sustainable Solutions will be held April 2 to 4 in Detroit, Mich.

Vancouver’s delegation will include Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle, Community and Economic Development Program Coordinator Peggy Sheehan, PeaceHealth Systems Director of Community Health Meghan McCarthy, Vancouver Housing Authority Executive Director Roy Johnson and REACH Executive Director Dan Valliere.

“We’re honored to be among the City’s (sic) selected to bring our insights and ideas to addressing affordable housing to the national table,” said McEnerny-Ogle in a press release. “We look forward to gathering best practices and innovative solutions from other cities and organizations who are leading the nation in addressing the complex challenge of affordable housing.”

Vancouver’s delegation will join others from Baton Rouge, La.; Detroit, Mich.; Duluth, Minn.; Lawrence, Mass.; and Providence, RI.
