Clark County is looking for people to fill four openings on its Commission on Aging, which manages and implements the county’s Aging Readiness Plan.

Three openings are three-year terms that begin June 1 and run through May 31, 2022. The fourth vacancy will complete a term that runs through May 2020. The commission meets 3 to 6 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month, though there can be additional meetings.

Clark County residents are eligible to apply for a seat on the commission, which is seeking people interested in issues that affect seniors, such as housing, transportation and supportive services. This year’s focus is on healthy communities: How the built environment can provide opportunities for better physical and mental health for all ages.

Applicants should submit a resume and letter of interest to Alyssa Weyhrauch or the county manager’s office at Alyssa.Weyhrauch@clark.wa.gov by 5 p.m. April 5. Applications can also be mailed to P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, 98666-5000.
