Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday afternoon in the Bagley Downs neighborhood.

Vancouver police responded to Plomondon Street and General Anderson Avenue around 1:15 p.m. Witnesses reported that a juvenile was robbed by several teenage males earlier in the afternoon, and at least one of the teens was armed with what appeared to be a handgun, according to a Vancouver Police Department news release.

One of the teens was located and arrested without incident inside a Burger King, 5000 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd, according to the release.

A witness also claimed that one of the teen’s accomplices was hiding in a bathroom inside the restaurant, the release said. SWAT officers and hostage negotiators responded before it was discovered that the bathroom was empty.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information will be provided at this time, the release said. No one was injured during the robbery or at Burger King.
