A bicyclist was taken to the hospital Tuesday after being hit by a C-Tran bus at the Northeast 99th Street exit on northbound Interstate 5.

Emergency crews responded to the area around 2:15 p.m. Jeremiah H. Luebbe, 42, of Vancouver, was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, according to a Washington State Patrol crash memo.

Luebbe was riding eastbound on 99th Street and attempted to cross the exit ramp when an exiting bus entered the left turn lane, according to the memo. Luebbe did not stop for a red pedestrian stoplight and was struck by the bus, the memo says.

Luebbe was cited for a crosswalk violation. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, according to the memo.
