Raptors Recap: Ridgefield 1, Northwest Star Academy 0

The Raptors went 3-0 against non-West Coast League teams with the win on Monday. They head back into league play on Tuesday with a three-game series at Corvallis against the Knights.

KEY MOMENT: Luke Farah singled in Aaron Zavala in the second inning for the only run of the game.

KEY PLAYERS: Pitcher Trask Telesmanich (Oregon Tech) threw six shut-out innings in relief, striking out the side in the eighth inning.

NEXT GAME: Ridgefield (13-5, 10-5 WCL) at Corvallis Knights (9-6), 6:30 p.m. today. (Radio: FM 99.9) … Knights’ play their home games at Oregon State’s Goss Stadium. … Corvallis comes into the series on the heels of an 11-0 win at Yakima Valley on Monday, with four Knight pitchers holding the Pippins to one hit and sweeping the three-game series. … The Knights are one game behind the Raptors in the South Division.
