Vancouver is scheduled to start resurfacing Northeast 162nd/164th Avenue next week, a project expected to wrap up in mid-July.
The road work will extend from Northeast 18th Street to Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard. Lakeside Industries, the contractors on the project, will conduct work overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday nights through Saturday mornings. Crews will grind off existing pavement, resurface with hot asphalt and replace pavement markings.
The corridor will remain open during the project, though traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
The resurfacing project is part of the city’s 2019 Pavement Management Program. For a full map of roadwork planned for the upcoming summer, visit cityofvancouver.us/publicworks/page/resurfacing-paving-projects and click on the 2019 Pavement Management project map.
