EAST COUNTY — Camas High School’s DECA (formerly Distributive Education Clubs of America) chapter recently sent 22 students to the International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Fla.

The club helps prepare students who are interested in business, marketing, management and entrepreneurship.

Three students took home medals, and two others were finalists. Medalists were Jacob Zinda for apparel and accessories marketing; Megan Bauer for quick-serve restaurant management; and Skylar Beccera for automotive services management.

Finalists were Logan Hamilton for restaurant and food service management; and Caden Wengler, Hayden Ludt and Amie Beld for a creative marketing project.

“Washington is very competitive, so being able to bring 22 students to Orlando is already impressive,” Camas High School DECA Officer Caden Wengler, a senior, said in a news release.
