Police search for missing elderly east Vancouver couple

Update, 11:08 a.m. Tuesday: Wesley and Crystil Cherry were found near the U.S.-Canada border and are safe.

Original story: Police are searching for a missing elderly couple from Vancouver.

Wesley and Crystil Cherry were last seen leaving their east Vancouver home Saturday night and might need medical assistance, according to a Vancouver police news release. The couple may be in a 2000 white Honda CRV with a Washington license plate, 654-YVM.

Wesley Cherry, 81, wears glasses and is 6 feet tall, 300 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. Crystil Cherry, 72, is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and 210 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about the couple’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
