August is Child Support Awareness Month, and the state Department of Social and Health Services’ Division of Child Support is recognizing the month with outreach events throughout Washington.

Child support professionals will be on hand to answer question at the Vancouver Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 11.

“Child support payments help build a strong foundation for raising happy, healthy children so they can reach their full potential,” Sharon Redmond, director of the DSHS Division of Child Support, said in a news release. “We meet those needs while providing respect and resources to every person, every day.”
