Edgewood Park — Last year, when wildfires devastated the town of Paradise, Calif., the Paradise Genealogical Society library and contents burned to the ground. After the fire, the Genealogical Forum of Oregon planned on helping restock the library, and members of the Clark County Genealogical Society pitched in to help. Members donated items from their personal libraries, which were delivered to Paradise by the Genealogical Forum of Oregon. More than 225 books and periodicals were delivered to Paradise. The Clark County Genealogical Society was established in 1972, and is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to encouraging, fostering, educating and organizing activities related to genealogy.
