Kiwanis Club hosts barbecue for foster families

Fruit Valley — Members of Cascade Park Kiwanis Club hosted the group’s annual barbecue for foster children, serving food to more than 200 children, families and volunteers at Vancouver Lake Park on June 20. Key Club members from Mountain View High School helped serve snow cones and assisted with craft activities provided by Crossroads Church and Home Depot. The event was also hosted by the Washington Department of Social and Health Services with support from GiftTree and McDonald’s.
