A Ridgefield man was killed and his two passengers injured Saturday when the pickup he was driving went off a highway in Central Oregon and overturned, according to the Oregon State Police.

The crash occurred about 5:30 p.m. when Calvin D. Craig, 79, was driving a 2006 Ford F-350 pickup east on Highway 26 near milepost 81 in Wasco County, according to an OSP statement. It said the reason the vehicle went off the road was unknown.

Craig suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, the statement said.

Passengers Jenny Craig, 76, of Ridgefield and Edward Totland, 55, of Tacoma, were injured and transported to St. Charles Madras, the statement said. Both have since been discharged from the hospital in good condition, according to a hospital spokesman.

Both lanes of the highway were closed following the crash.
