Lutheran Community Services Northwest needs volunteers to in-home English as a Second Language tutoring by meeting with student’s three hours a week for a minimum of six months.

Mount St. Helens Institute seeks nature-loving volunteers to perform a variety of roles, including talking with guests at visitor centers, hiking trails and providing information for outdoor enthusiasts, maintaining trails, teaching youth, and helping visitors from all over the world learn about Mount St. Helens’ spectacular volcanic landscape. Scheduling is flexible and includes one-time and ongoing opportunities. SHARE’s Summer Meals Program seeks volunteers to meet at the Covington Middle School kitchen and work in groups to chop fruits and vegetables, make sandwiches, portion menu items into bags, and pack individual lunches for children in Vancouver at risk of going hungry this summer. Help is needed from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays through Fridays. The minimum age is 10.

Villages Clark County helps local seniors stay in their homes safety and inexpensively. The Operations Team is looking for volunteers to respond to office phone calls and emails, process member request for services, and assist with recording service requests after volunteers complete activities. Volunteers are asked to volunteers 20 hours a month for a one year commitment.
