Radishes come to Evergreen schools through Harvest of the Month

East Vancouver — Washington State University Extension’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education and Evergreen Public Schools’ Chartwells food service brought radishes to Burton Elementary School recently as part of the Harvest of the Month program. Approximately 320 students were served up spring radish coleslaw provided by Chartwells. Radishes were on the lunch menu throughout the month at all Evergreen elementary schools.
