With July 4 around the corner, Ridgefield’s bats put on a fireworks display on the road Tuesday. The Raptors banged out 14 hits to earn their second straight win. Six players had multiple hits and Ridgefield stormed to a 14-1 lead after just five innings.
KEY MOMENTS: The Raptors bats were hot from the start, setting the tone for the rout. Michael Hicks and Noah Taylor each hit two-RBI doubles in a four-run first inning.
KEY PLAYERS: Hicks raised his team-leading batting average to .328, going 2 for 2 with three RBI. Steve Ramirez broke out of an 0 for 9 drought, going 2 for 4 with two RBI. The bottom of the order also produced, with Michael Yourg and Wyatt Hoffman going a combined 4 for 8 with three RBI.
