Sam Scarpelli scored 22 points, Parker Gaddis added 17 and the Clark College men’s basketball team knocked off Chemeketa 73-66 on Wednesday in Salem, Ore.
Clark (12-7, 4-4) trailed 59-54 with just under six minutes to play. But the Penguins went on a 15-2 run over the next four minutes.
Chemeketa (12-6, 6-2) was held to 32 percent from the field.
Slow start dooms Clark women
Payton Wangler scored 20 points but Clark couldn’t overcome a slow start in a 78-55 loss at Chemeketa.
The Penguins trailed 24-6 after one quarter before pulling within 35-28 at halftime. Clark (4-15, 2-6) shot 32 percent from the field for the game.
