King’s Way Christian announced the hiring of Todd Pisarczyk as varsity baseball coach and Drew Klinsing as boys soccer coach on Wednesday.

Pisarczyk takes over for Gregg Swenson, who coached the Knights last season and helped them reach the 1A state championship game.

A graduate of Prairie High School, Pisarczyk earned a degree in business from Washington State and is the owner and founder of Sustainable Wealth Management.

Since 2014, Pisarczyk has run and managed Hit Squad, a local club baseball team comprised of high-level local players from Clark County. He is also a manager for the Vancouver Cardinals, an American Legion team.

“Todd not only provides a love for the game and the managerial skills within the baseball diamond to bring the best out of our players, he shares a genuine devotion to Christ in life and athletics,” King’s Way athletic director Ted Buck said. “I appreciate this ministry commitment.  I look forward to watching this program develop and mature in Christ with Todd as the servant/leader of King’s Way baseball.”

Klinsing replaces Rob Cowles as boys soccer coach. Klinsing is a staff member at King’s Way, teaching bible and serving as Spiritual Development Director.

He is also currently the Knights’ assistant girls soccer coach and served as an assistant for the boys team the past three seasons.

Prior to coming to King’s Way, Klinsing served as a church pastor in the Pacific Northwest and coached varsity high school soccer in Idaho for four seasons.

The Knights turned to a pair of experience players to lead their first softball teams this spring.

Nelson is a Vancouver native and Fort Vancouver High graduate. She played collegiately at Pacific University and Portland State. She also coached the Northwest Raptors youth team.

Danberg is a graduate of Mountain View High School. She pitched and play third base for the Thunder. She played collegiately at Clackamas Community College, playing on two conference championship teams.

Her two sons, Riley and Preston, are King’s Way graduates and standouts on the athletic fields for the Knights.
