Falcons coach Hala Corral said her team got the showing it wanted looking ahead to he postseason while securing its 22nd league title in Wednesday’s season finale outright to conclude the regular season.
Prairie defeated Bay, 46-36, back on Jan. 15.
“They wanted to come out,” she said, “and put up a much better showing.”
The top-ranked Falcons did so by hitting 15 3-pointers, a total that’s second-best in a game this season. Allie Corral, who had a game-high 20 points, hit six 3s. Three other Falcons had multiple 3s.
Both teams advance to the bi-district tournament. The Falcons host a first-round game Feb. 9, while Bay, the league’s second seed, hosts a bi-district game Feb. 7.
