Responders on scene of single-vehicle rollover crash east of Washougal

Emergency responders are on the scene of a single-vehicle rollover crash east of Washougal near the boundary of Clark County.

Law enforcement, firefighters and medics were dispatched at 10:47 a.m. to 40301 S.E. Gibson Road for a report of a traffic crash.

A caller told dispatchers that there was smoke coming from the wrecked vehicle and a woman was inside, according emergency radio traffic monitored The Columbian.

Medics arrived on scene within 10 minutes and reported that the vehicle was on its roof.

The woman was awake and breathing, according to scanner traffic.

Heavy extrication and neck stabilization were required, according to the scanner. The woman was removed from the vehicle about 20 minutes into the response.
