Peyton Brammer scored 29 points in his first game of the season as the Hawks held on for a 2A Greater St. Helens League win.
Brammer suffered a broken bone in his foot during the football state quarterfinals in November. He made an instant impact, scoring 11 points in the first quarter.
Brammer finished 8 for 10 from the free throw line.
“He’s the leader out there,” Hockinson coach Jon Warner said. “All the guys were glad to have him back. I was happy for him because he was dying to get back on the court.”
A James Corey basket pulled Ridgefield within three points with less than two minutes to go. But Dakota Souders hit four free throws down the stretch to secure the win for Hockinson (8-10, 4-6).
