Nominees for Week 7 winter sports prep athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian winter sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Jan. 26.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

ELIANA DUFF, FORT VANCOUVER GIRLS WRESTLING: Duff won the 115-pound championship at a tournament at Fort Vancouver, beating McKenna Bowen of Washougal in the final.

GRACE GORDON, COLUMBIA RIVER GYMNASTICS: Gordon won the vault, bars, beam, floor and all-around (36.95) in a three-team meet at Naydenov.

BRADY METZ, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN BOYS BASKETBALL: Metz averaged 26.5 points over two league wins for the Knights, hitting 15 3-pointers.

MCKENZIE SPARANO, SKYVIEW GIRLS BOWLING: Sparano won the 4A district title with a score of 637 (224-181-232) at Crosley Lanes.

TAYLOR STEPHENS, LA CENTER GIRLS BASKETBALL: Stephens averaged 32 points, eight rebounds and five steals over three league wins.
