Girls basketball: Kelso 69, Fort Vancouver 16

Trappers coach Arlisa Hinton saw good things from her younger players in the second quarter when Fort scored nine points, which drew praise postgame from Kelso coach Jennifer

“My young girls got in and moved the ball pretty good,” the coach said. “It was good to see. Even the Kelso coach (Jennifer Hamilton) said they improved a lot since the last time.”

Kailey Gonzalez scored six points to lead the Trappers.
