The Prairie girls basketball team can add another year to its long list of league championships.

Brooke Walling scored 14 points and Cassidy Gardner added 12 as the Falcons beat Mountain View 62-20 to clinch at least a share of the 3A Greater St. Helens League title, Prairie’s 22nd consecutive league crown.

The top-ranked Falcons (18-1, 9-0 3A GSHL) can claim the title outright with a win Wednesday at home against Hudson’s Bay.

Prairie used its tough defense and strong rebounding to overcome a slow start shooting the ball from the perimeter. Allison Corral added 11 points, and Meri Dunford had eight points.

Mountain View (5-14, 4-5) still remains alive for a postseason berth. If the Thunder can knock off Kelso at home on Wednesday, it would force a playoff between the Thunder and Hilanders for the third and final berth to bi-district.
