Boys basketball: Washougal 52, Woodland 50

Kol Mael made a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Panthers the win at Woodland.

“It looked like time would run out,” Woodland coach Andrew Johnson said of the final shot. “He just got the ball, made a move and made a clutch shot.”

Washougal’s Carter Murray led all scorers with 38 points.

Isaiah Flanagan had 13 points for Woodland, and Jackson Finn and Tyler Flanagan each scored 10.

“We had to grind for all our shots,” Johnson said. “They just got the last one.”
