Boys basketball: Mountain View 69, Hudson’s Bay 67

Makai Anderson got an offensive rebound and putback basket in the closing seconds to lift the Thunder to a pivotal 3A Greater St. Helens League win.

The Thunder’s win eliminated Evergreen and Hudson’s Bay from the postseason race.

Mountain View is two games up on Fort Vancouver for third place in the 3A GSHL with two to play.

The Thunder clinch the final berth to the 3A bi-district tournament with their next win or Fort’s next loss. Fort hosts first-place Kelso on Monday.

Anderson had 22 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Thunder. Kaden Horn added 12 points.

Eli Hoover led four Eagles in double figures with 14 points.
