RIDGEFIELD — Ridgefield has joined three other Clark County cities as a Department of Revenue business licensing service partner, the state agency announced Thursday.
Ridgefield businesses can now apply for hundreds of required state and local registrations in a single transaction. This one-stop-shop also allows businesses to renew those licenses easily through the service each year, the agency said in a news release.
Ridgefield joins Vancouver, Battle Ground and Washougal as service partners. By 2021, nearly every city in Clark and Cowlitz counties will be active partners, the agency said.
The department manages one of the few systems nationwide that allows businesses to register with state agencies and cities in a single transaction. Find out more at bls.dor.wa.gov.
The Department of Revenue is Washington’s primary tax agency. It administers nearly 60 categories of taxes that help pay for education, social services, health care, corrections, public safety, natural resource conservation and other services.
