Jordan Ryan scord a game-high 21 points as the Columbia River girls basketball team used a big second halft to win a key 2A Greater St. Helens League game, beating Hockinson 69-50 on Thursday night.
“They just wanted it more, it’s as simple as that,” Hockinson coach Damon Roche said. “We were only down one at half (26-25). But they came out and just play harder than we did.”
Ellie Christian added 14 points and Sydney Flores-Tucker had 10 for River, which moved into a tie for second in the league with Woodland at 5-4.
Jasmine Shigeno hit two 3-pointers, giving her 60 on the season and breaking Hockinson’s school record held by Payton Wangler.
