Murdock Trust grants money to arts groups

At the end of 2018, Vancouver-based M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust granted nearly $11 million to nonprofit groups, including two grants supporting the arts in Vancouver.

The Magenta Theater received $62,000 for new lighting, and the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation received $214,000 for new staff to establish communications programs. Washington was awarded 19 grants totaling $3,578,000.

Young Life, a Colorado-based youth ministry with Clark County affiliates, received $1.2 million for infrastructure improvements to its Washington Family Ranch in Antelope, Ore. Young Life holds summer camps at the ranch.
