Cassidy Gardner scored 25 points, Brooke Walling added 18 and the Falcons used a smothering defense to easily win a non-league game at home.

Prairie (12-1) collected 22 steals against a team that entered Saturday 10-3.

“We played probably our best defensive game of the year,” Prairie coach Hala Corral said. “It was a fun game to watch and a fun game to coach.”

Prairie was effective from the perimeter as 14 of its 29 field goals were from 3-point range.
