The west-side food pantry FISH of Vancouver has expanded its hours to include two Saturdays every month.
People expressed interest in volunteering on weekends at the pantry, which used to be open on weekdays only, said Katlin Smith, the pantry’s board president.
The pantry at 906 Harney St. is now open 10 a.m. to noon every first and third Saturday, in addition to its regular hours of 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. FISH provides emergency food to residents of ZIP codes 98660, 98661, 98663, 98685 and 98686.
