A 24-year-old man who possessed nearly 100 images of child pornography on his cellphone was sentenced Monday in Clark County Superior Court to three years in prison.
Loren J. Dyvig of Vancouver previously pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree internet viewing depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct and one count of bail jumping, court records show.
The child pornography charges came following his arrest in June 2017 in an unrelated case, in which his cellphone was seized. A forensic analysis of the phone found that a Facebook profile and email address — both reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in 2016 for uploading suspected child pornography — belonged to him, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
The Vancouver Police Department’s Digital Evidence Cybercrime Unit had been investigating the cybertips when Dyvig was arrested, the affidavit says.
