Hockinson coach Damon Roche has harped on one message with his freshman over the last week.

“I tried to empower them,” Roche said.
Gracie Brammer and Kylie Ritter responded in kind. Brammer had 12 points, seven assists, six steals and five boards and Ritter added 14 points — “she was on fire,” Roche said — to help the Hawks coast to a 66-28 win over Mark Morris on Monday night.
“The loosest they’ve every played tonight,” Roche said. “They looked comfortable.”
Hockinson jumped out to an early 22-8 lead after one quarter and held the Monarchs to single digits scoring in each quarter.
Jacie Rismoen led Mark Morris with 11 points.
