The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington has received a $20,000 grant from the Jay and Diane Zidell Charitable Foundation.

The funds will help provide urgent medical care services for low-income, uninsured people in Clark County, according to a press release. The Zidell Charitable Foundation, which is based in Portland, “supports programs that promote the community and cultural vitality,” the press release states.

It’s the 10th gift Zidell Charitable Foundation has made to the Free Clinic.

“This generous gift helps ensure that the most vulnerable members of our community receive the care they need,” said Ann Wheelock, executive director of the Free Clinic. “The clinic’s urgent medical services keep people healthy before they develop more serious illnesses and need expensive emergency room care. We’re so grateful to the Zidell Charitable Foundation for their generous support.”
