Clark County Public Works Parks Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers for the Martin Luther King Day of Service event from 9 a.m. until noon on Jan. 19 at Whipple Creek Park in Ridgefield, to plant native trees and remove invasive plants. Must be able to bend, crawl, kneel, and reach. Wear long pants and sleeves, as well as sturdy shoes.

Evergreen School District Harmony Elementary is looking for volunteers to serve as Lunch Buddies for students from 11:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. Thursdays. Spend time with students playing games, eating lunch, making crafts, or just talking and listening.

The annual Father Daughter Ball needs volunteers ages 16 and older for shifts during three dances over two nights, 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 1 and 2, as well as noon to 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 2. Lifeline Connections seeks volunteers to clean up the Women’s Center grounds and facilities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan. 21. Opportunities include helping with painting, cleaning up the grounds, and cleaning out a shed.
