The Port of Vancouver is hosting 10 free public tours this year starting in April and ending in August.
The port provides refreshments and delivers a brief presentation before participants board a bus for a behind-the-scenes tour of the marine terminals and industrial centers. The 90-minute tours show how Columbia River navigation, international trade, environmental stewardship and waterfront redevelopment affect port operations.
Tour dates: April 2, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; April 25, 5:30-7 p.m.; May 11, 10-11:30 a.m.; May 29, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; June 13, 5:30-7 p.m.; June 29, 10-11:30 a.m.; July 10, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; July 25, 5:30-7 p.m.; Aug. 10, 10-11:30 a.m.; Aug. 27, 5:30-7 p.m.;
Government-issued photo identification, such as a driver’s license or passport, is required to attend. Cameras are not allowed on marine terminals.
