As the current legislative session approaches its halfway point, lawmakers from the 18th Legislative District will hold town hall events Saturday in Yacolt and La Center.
Sen. Ann Rivers, R-La Center, and state Reps. Brandon Vick and Larry Hoff, both Vancouver Republicans, will be present. The town halls will be held during a brief gap in the legislative session after the first legislative cutoff. In a press release, the lawmakers indicated they wanted to use the meetings to discuss which bills are advancing and how they might impact Clark County.
The time and location of the town halls are:
• 11 a.m., Yacolt Town Hall, 202 W. Cushman St., Yacolt.
• 2 p.m., La Center City Hall, council chambers, 214 E. Fourth St., La Center.
