The Technology Association of Oregon announced that Scott Keeney, the CEO of Vancouver-based nLightIGHT, is the winner of this year’s Sam Blackman Award. The award, formerly called the Technology Executive of the Year Award, recognizes executives of Oregon and Southwest Washington-based tech companies for their leadership and impact on the community. nLIGHT specializes in manufacturing high-powered semiconductor and fiber lasers for industrial, microfabrication, aerospace and defense applications. Its headquarters is at 5408 N.E. 88th St., Building E. It has an office in Hillsboro, Ore., in addition to locations around the world. Keeney will be recognized April 17 at the Oregon Technology Awards ceremony at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland.
