Clark County might see snow Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow could begin to fall between 4 and 7 a.m. and last until the afternoon, said Laurel McCoy, a meteorologist with the weather service. Vancouver may see trace amounts to 2 inches of snow, while northern areas would see less.
“Most of Clark County can still see a trace amount,” McCoy said. “You’re kind of on the line of snow versus no snow.”
Battle Ground Public Schools announced Sunday night that classes would begin two hours late. The Southwest Washington Care Consortium announced all morning child care centers are closed in the Battle Ground district, while programs in Glenwood and Maple Grove open at 10:40 a.m.
The system that could impact the morning commute is coming from the southwest, McCoy said. As it moves northeast, the western edge of the system may glide over Clark County.
“We’re kind of just getting clipped,” McCoy said.
