Washougal — Hathaway Elementary School students learned about healthy living at the Sodexo Student Well-Being Fair in late January. The all-day event featured groups split up by grade moving through presentations aimed at expanding their knowledge on living a healthy life. The fair covered nutrition, achievement, environment, community and activity. “I had a second grader tell me afterwards that coconuts have juice in them,” Principal Sarika Mosley said in a release from the district. “Watching our students create balanced meal plans for breakfast, lunch and dinner is important for their long-term health and well-being.”
