Emergency personnel were attempting to extricate at least one person with critical injuries late Thursday after a car crashed into the corner of a Vancouver residence.
The crash occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. at 9616 Northeast Seventh St. The car was driving at least 50 mph when it hit the building, Vancouver Fire Department spokesman Bryan Fredrickson said.
At least one person sustained critical injuries, Fredrickson said.
Two engines, one ladder truck, medical personnel and a battalion chief responded to the scene. The ladder truck was called in to provide structural support for the building because a structural member was damaged, Fredrickson said.
