Craft Warehouse in Hazel Dell was briefly evacuated Thursday night after a reported bomb threat.

An anonymous caller contacted the store at 9307 N.E. Fifth Ave. to say that her mentally ill brother was planning to plant a bomb in or around the store, Clark County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chad Rothenberger said. The call came from a untraceable line, he said.

“I don’t know if it was more of a prank or what,” Rothenberger said.

After the call, about 10 people inside the store evacuated, Rothenberger said. Five deputies arrived at the store shortly before 8 p.m.

Deputies searched for about 15 minutes but found nothing, Rothenberger said. People were allowed back inside the store shortly after.
